Allen M. Essner
I've heard several of the guys talk about this site, so I figured I'd try it out. Most days I wish there was someone outside of here to speak to other than my grandmother or parents.
It's a bit difficult to carry on a good conversation, but I've managed to find a handful of people with similar interests as myself. So we wind up discussing any variation of topics from the very crappy ending of Buffy, which I personally was glad to see end, to what new plot twists are in store for Angel next season or if the prison wide movie that they showed was any good.
The last good movie that was shown was "Die Another Day". James Bond movies are some of my favorite movies, and I think that Pierce Brosnan is so far the best James Bond, but I think I'm biased towards electronics gadgets and science fiction anyway. I grew up watching a lot of PBS programming about science and nature, along with reading a lot of science fiction and I've always been interested in electronics gadgets because of my interest in computers and the fact that I was an automotive technician working for GM when I was on the street.
Don't misunderstand, I don't sit around watching TV all day. I work doing maintenance type work most of the day so I wind up with my evenings either reading or watching the handful of decent programs that exist, at least until they cancel them. It always seems to be that the shows I really like either get cancelled or the writing goes so far down hill that it's not even worth struggling to watch. Which is the point that I usually pick up one of the magazines, from last month, that I haven't gotten around to reading yet.
I'm rambling now, which I could probably go on doing for pages. So I guess that's a small window into my personality, at this point if you'd like to hear more of it then you'll just have to write. I'll respond to any letters; age, gender, race, religion are not important. I'm fairly open-minded.
Oh by the way, I'm 5'11", 190 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, for those of you who'd like to know since the photo isn't in color.
