I've heard it said that life isn't fair, I think it's an excuse for emotions not shared, for as I walk down destiny's path, the vision isn't all that great, seeking what's called companions, I wonder, "Will she participate?"
I've been up and down in a ship or two, the path is clear for the right one to come through, it's not a matter of being pretty or being fair, it's what's in our hearts that we will find joy and happiness to share.
It seemed as though I couldn't find a vision of you in my mind, nor a shape or size, but that's all right, for what I seek is much deeper than that. Perhaps a chance encounter of the best kind, a meeting arranged by fate, whatever you choose to call it, I think we should celebrate, from one traveler to another.
For as I have searched the world for you, not knowing where you'd be, but always hoping that one day, your lovely face I'd see, but hope does not necessarily take the form of excessive confidence, rather it involves the simple willingness to take the next step.
