Greetings to you from deep within the walls of the Pontiac Correctional Center. My name is Andrew, I am a thirty year old Korean-American, Asian man, in search of someone, who is willing to share their thoughts, emotions, and feelings about the world we live in.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, I was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and I attended Providence College in Rhode Island; until a series of tragic events would vault me into this foreign and brutal life, behind these cold and unforgiving bars. Akin to a Greek Tragedy, the facts of my life unfold like a badly scripted soap opera and I pray for a fairy-tale conclusion.
A decade "Locked Down", in this man-made purgatory, I call reality, I hunger and crave for the sound of someone's voice resonating in my head as I read their thoughts committed to paper; the quiet late night ramblings that offer a glimpse into who we are. I write this ad, hoping that I will find someone, who appreciates the beauty of written words. A kindred spirit willing to look beyond the stigma of incarceration and a courageous soul able to see me, for who I truly am.
