Okay, right to it; I'm forty-one, 6'2", 250 lbs, in good shape - time to work out, ya know? My main passion is writing; stories, plays, poetry, articles, opinion pieces, you name it. I hold an Associate's degree in Humanities. Forty credits short of a Bachelors, which I hope to obtain upon my release. My other interests include acting, reading and all outdoor activities. My favorite authors are Hemingway, London, Ayn Rand, Fitzgerald, Toni Morrison, King, Koontz, Asimov, and H.G. Wells. I love good movies but I prefer artsy and foreign films, ones that make me think. My favorite actors include Hopkins, Nicholson, DiCaprio, Hoffman, among others. My interest in music varies; oldies, du-wop, rock & rock, blues, reggae, soul, even Cole Porter and Mozart.
My crime - an idiotic, drunken, botched robbery attempt, no weapon, nobody harmed (thank God!) but I did frighten some people. I was given a stiff sentence because of my many previous drug and drug related charges. But the good news is, with God's help, I'm back working my program, eighteen months clean, and my future's so bright, I gotta wear shades! So tell me about you!

As she would.
But alas!
Look at her face! One word;
Joy. She's happy.
With all her deformities and bodily mutations,
Physical encumbrances I know not.
She needs help.
But don't we all?
She accepts her condition in this moment,
As being how it's supposed to be.
Her smile is so true, so real.
So I thought, "If she is smiling,
I should be dancing, turning cartwheels, rejoicing,
Being thankful for all I've been given."
I know now, because of hers,
That joy is also there for me.
Gosh-darnit! I want what she has!
If I know it's there, (and I do)
And I ask for it, open my heart to it,
It will be mine.
Like I said,
If she can have it, so can I.
