My name is Daniel. Thank you for taking the time to stop and glance over my ad. I sincerely hope that as you do you are in the best of health and spirits; and also that you find something contained in these simple words that resonates within you and elicits a response.
One may think that being entombed in a concrete and steel sarcophagus would tend to jade a person. For me it has had quite the opposite effect. It is with zest that I now set out to find new friends to write.
Age, race, religion, or any other identifying/categorizing mechanisms are a non-issue with me. I appreciate the diversity of life and approach it with an open mind in the hopes of gaining some understanding of our shared universe.
I do not look to set boundaries for possible correspondents. Being socially conscious and politically astute is a plus, but by no means a prerequisite.
As for me, I'm 32 and of Irish/Italian extraction. I'm a voracious reader of anything which promises to stimulate the brain cells, i.e. philosophy, spiritual texts, political books and magazines, etc. I enjoy learning and taking in new ideas, and reading things that encourage the process, even if it's a bit dry at times.
I'm also a weight training enthusiast. My workouts can best be summed up as a kind of meditation in motion. They force me to focus and be in the now. And since it will be a few years before my release, it serves as a way to stay in shape (I also adhere to a vegetarian diet).
This routine, along with my reading comprise my maintenance and development approach to serving time. As opposed to sitting around stagnating or worse, deteriorating.
Could respondents please include a picture of themselves. For you have me at a distinct disadvantage having seen me on the web-site. I'd like very much to be able to put a face with the written words I receive.
So I encourage you to come and take the plunge along with me, into the wonders of human existence and their accompanying potentialities.
