Don Tangen 
My name is Don Tangen, "Mr. Fix-It" to my friends. I acquired the nickname "Mr. Fix-It" because I can fix just about anything. From my picture you can tell that regardless of my being in prison, I keep myself in pretty good spirits. I am a 44 year old Christian man who has stumbled in life, and now find myself making the best of a bad situation. I am using my time constructively by not only working to support myself, but to further my education by taking college courses, and learning many phases of the welding field. By doing this I am broadening my horizons and making myself more sought after in this job market.
For recreation I am trying to teach myself to play the electric guitar. Trust me, that not as easy as some people think it is. Especially for someone like me who never picked up an instrument in his life. Never the less, no matter how long it takes me, I am not one who gives up on something once I start it.
I am a nature lover. Some day I want to go back to doing the things I love to do. Things like fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time at the beach. Because out in nature I can relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer. And at the same time free myself from the stress and strains of society.
I love to grow large vegetable gardens. My average garden size is 45 feet by 64 feet. You're probably asking yourself, why would I like to grow such a large garden? Well, the answer to that is, I like to share what I grow with my family, friends and those who are less fortunate. What can I say I am a country boy with a green thumb and a big heart.
I am not looking for someone to send me money or clothes, I have a job and if I need anything I can get it on my own. As I stated earlier, I am a Christian. If you're a Christian also, let's fellowship. If you're not, that's OK too. Your friendship is just as valuable to me. I would like to correspond with someone over 20 years old, man or woman, any race, anywhere in the world. I sure hope it's you.
