26, 5'8, 175. The majority of my life has been spent paying for a mistake made at age 14. Throughout these years I've suffered and have caused pain. Depression and anger led to years spent in solitary confinement. I've let friendships die due to neglect; and fear of rejection and less made me reluctant to form new ones. I'd erected emotional walls for protection, yet now know isolation is dangerous for the soul. An epiphany also led me to counterpose self-destructive behavior with self-actualization.
My days are now spent pursuing higher education and physical fitness. I strive to transform myself into a physically fit, well-educated man. A man who's able to help those around him. I may never get the opportunity to utilize my knowledge outside of a penitentiary setting; nevertheless, realizing these goals will be fulfilling despite my lack of freedom. For far too long I refrained from terming new relationships. Yet it's friends that enhance our lives and bring comfort during troubled times. I hope to find someone I can share myself with. A person who wishes to interchange their thoughts, ideas, hopes, and desires.
