This poem was written for my children after I had been unjustly incarcerated about 2 years. They were 2, 4, 6 and 8 then. Now they are grown and the injustice continues. Recently, my adult daughter asked me when I was getting out. She asked that almost the same way she did when she was six years old. Though grown, she says she still needs me out of prison. Recently, my 6'5" - 270 pound, adult son told me he needs me involved in his life. This is perhaps my millionth attempt to get some help to free me from this egregiously unjust incarceration.
