there are many things I got to do.
I can't wait to get back from behind these bars,
so I can lay in the grass looking up at the stars.
It will be difficult out there to cope,
but with faith in God, I'll have hope.
I want to get on the back of a horse & feel the wind
in my face,
stop in a field & enjoy the wide open space.
Watching the thunder & lightening from the porch,
while the wind pushes the rain with such force.
& outdoors is the life for me,
I need to be in the country where I can be free.
When I sleep at night home is what I see,
then I realize I was just dreamin of being
where I long to be.
I've sat behind these bars for quite a few years,
sheddin so many tears, now I need to swallow
all my fears.
