Richard Baumhammers 
I'm Richard, a 38 year old Pittsburgher in a state prison in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, USA. I am very interested in receiving letters from those who wish to correspond. It would be great to make new friends with pen pals in the US and throughout the world.
Allow me to describe myself further. I'm a Latvian-American. I lived in Riga, Latvia for a while and know some of the language. Strolling around the old town in the brisk Baltic air was something I did daily. Having a coffee to unwind in Riga was a pastime of mine.
I have a law degree and have studied abroad. In 1989 I studied in Oxford, U.K. at Exeter University. I liked the academic setting there. I enjoy reading the New York Times and keeping up on current events. I used to enjoy playing tennis and swimming as well. I have been to Aspen, Colorado a few times and enjoyed skiing on the tremendous mountains. When I was in college I took a boat voyage over Lake Erie to Canada.
I enjoy 80's music and classic rock. Some of my favorite groups are the Doors, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, the Who, and Ozzy Osbourne. I have attended a variety of concerts including Judas Priest, U2, King Krimson, AC/DC, and others. I am an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team.
